DIY rollcage for my RC

Finally today i got my lazy ass up and decided to do a rollcage for my RX8 body(well at least wanna try to do), well the following are my noobie step-by-step how i made it, pls guys do leave some comments maybe it be good or bad i'll appreciate it and hope i'll slowly improve

1st i got myself some strew which i took at McD last night

taking measurement from the body

taping the so called rollcage together

after taping 1st i sprayed a layer of white so that later the other layer of color would look brighter

then a layer of blue(wanna do Cusco style)

And finally after an hour or so doing my Cusco Safety21 look-a-like rollcage is done(trust me it looks much uglier when seen closer)

and since its made out of straw from McD and wanted to do Cusco safety21 style i think i called this McSafety21

My First Shell

Finally today i decided to buy my first RC body since the original body that came with the RC well its now half gone. After thinking for an hour or so i decided on getting a RX8 body as most of u already know i am a Rotary lover and there are alot of FD body around d so i will just leave the FD body for later and too bad they did not have FC body in stock. Well enough of me talking cock here are some pics of my new body

After masking up the body i took me like 20mins+ to actually decide on what color to paint the RX8 body, finally i made up my mind metalic green

After the spraying process is onto the sticker process too bad i was busy watching the other guys play and forget to snap some pics when Zeekay was putting on the stickers for me, so i will skip to the end

so the end result for my car for now is....... well i did bought a GT wing for it

Looks like the thieves are at it again..This time its Rudsdrifts/Rudfreeze (Rudy Norman) Purple AE86. Taken from his house this morning at 4 am and was last seen of the NorthSouth Highway heading towards Johore. Please anyone if you see an AE86 in bright purple spotting a GT wing with the number plate BCG 9660, please contact me (Ariff) immediately 0122109865 thanks. RM5000 wil be rewarded to those who found it!

Coincidencly, the car was heading to Johore too,the same thing happened to Russwestwood Skyline. Maybe this is the same syndicate that happens to be stealing all this JDM cars, so lookout for it!

Xrx Black Potato Dyno

Had a called this morning i had 2sms and a called from Xarrax and infamous person in touge.com.my, he called me and say that his bringing his car for a dyno run, i just can't let this opportunity to pass by

Kl Trip

well for the pass 3-4months or so i was stuck on Penang island which finally i can't stand it so feel like going outstation for a day or so, so i planed to go KL and 2 my friends Zechs and Xarrax join me on this 1day trip down, well as my usual time i left early in the morning

After around 2hrs of driving finally we reached Tapah R&R to have some breakfast, Xarrax suggested Dunkin' Donuts

Xarrax was still blur as always(why does he always look so blur???)

After our breakfast, we continued our journey, and after 2more hrs+ of driving we finally reached our destination Morac track or also know as USJ go-kart track, we are lucky cause on that same day there are having MDC(Malaysia Drift Challenge) there, so i manage to meet up with a friend of mine Mervyn Nakamura there

After spending an hr or so at Morac track we decided to head over to Shah Alam go kart track to have some karting fun ourself, sorry no pics or vid taken due to the 3 of us was just having so much fun racing each other, well actually i was trying very hard to keep up with Zechs and Xarrax they are fast, anyway here is a pic of how the track looks like

Later that day we also meet up with 1 of our friend in KL Desmond a.k.a Deongster, i was glad that his Starlet was still looking as nice as usual, let just put it this way i had a very unforgetfull moment in that car once hahaa

And finally night falls and we decided(actually it was me) to go up to Genting and chill abit before we head back to Penang, so i called up 2 of my friends studying in KL, Mike and Melvin. The drive up to Genting was fun

Journey Of My Car So Far Part 1

well since i'm so free today i'll post up the journey of my car so far

the 1st day i brought the car home

since the white color is fading off, i believe its time to get a new layer of paint on, so send my car to my car to paint shop

and a few days later my car got its new color

After finish spraying the car i finally decided if time to take out the 4bangger engine(yes the car was running on SR20DET when i got it), so its time to chance back to the all famous rotary engine

got myselft a halfcut for a very good deal

here are some pics of the SR20DET right before i took it out

and after a few months of working on the car, the car is finally ready to take on the task ahead

My Car Back Into Workshop

well today i'm sending my car back into the workshop, well for the pass 3weeks or so my breaks were working weirdly when u press down the brake paddle it feels soft like thats nothing to it, so finally today i manage to get my lazy ass out of the house and send my car too the workshop

in the workshop with the hood up(always a bad sign)

my brake pump out of the car

and since after rebuilding of the brake pump i need to bleed the whole system so i my as well take the chance to install my rear steel brake lines

and surprisingly enough i saw my ex-car its a Datsun 120Y in the workshp, the car still seems to look fine

hehe the car is still running on the A15 engine which i transplated it in almost 2yrs ago

Warhammer Online

other then playing with my RC i also like to play online games to pass time and my current fav online is non other then Warhammer Online: Age Of Reckoning. And personally i feel that is game is more fun then WoW(world of warcraft) in fact from what i know alot of WoW players have switch over to playing WAR(warhammer)

ok, for you guys out there who don't know what warhammer is this is a very short and simple brief of it: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (officially abbreviated as WAR^[4]) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy setting

i'm currently playing as a Marauder its a DPS(damage per second) class character, my character name is Grimmjov(i choose Grimmjov cause it is one of my fav character in the anime Bleach)

RC(Day 2)

well this is my second day of having the RC, since a few day before i bought mine i saw 2ppl bought the same model as mine, and since i will be joining the rc maniac gang to play i was wondering if they come as well our car's will look alike so i though is time the spice up the car abit

1st got myself the color i wanted

step2 masking tape the car at areas i don't want the paint to be on

1st i applied a layer of white undercoat so that the orange will stand out brighter(thxs Zechs for the tip)

and i would also like to thxs Tommy from Tommax stickers for helping me to apply the carbon look a like stickers i would have never manage to get those on by myself

the gt wing was nicely wrap with the carbon sticker thxs alot Tommy

And finally night falls and i when to Farlim with one of my friend to join the drifters from RC Maniac to drift around inside the Farlim Market carpark, i was seriously trying hard just to get my car to do nice donut round the cone(but eventually i still can't make it), anyway enough of me crapping here are some pics i manage to snap using my mobile phone hope u guys enjoy(hope to get better quality pics next time)

Finally today i managed to get myself a RC, something that i wanted to get since early this year, well me all know that Yokomo is the leading manufacturer when it comes to RC drift, but their cars are just too expensive for me.
So in fact thxs to my friend Ah Liew and his generous price i got myself a Taiwan made(if not mistaken) RC by a company called Lighting Racing. So anyone of you out there like RC that leave in Penang can head over to Gurney Plaza there is a stall selling RC Maniac they do sell at a very reasonable price

My First Time: well this title can mean alot of things depends on what your mind is thinking, and well this is my first time doing a blog(dam i'm so lame), so still learning how to fully ultilize it and i'm not much of a writer also, but i will learn slowly step-by-step

oh ya, some of you out there might wonder why rotarygr, well my name is Victor and in most local car forum ppl know me as VictorGR and i love rotary engines so well now u know why i choose rotarygr
